Message from the Commander

COL Milton G. Kelly

Greetings to all,

For the past few months, Watervliet Arsenal has been extremely busy. Through the tireless efforts of our workforce, we are making great strides and progress in all we do. We must continue to focus on our core competencies and deliver our products as promised. Regardless of the job, each team member plays an integral role in achieving mission success at the arsenal.

What I find to be of importance is the ability of our organization to be integrated and synchronized to produce superior weapon systems on time, all the time. This requires us to work together as a TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) and utilize my 5 C’s of business; Communication, Coordination, Collaboration, Cooperation and be Consistent. These factors are not only critical, they are essential in our day-to-day operations.

As the 60th commander, one of my greatest joys is coming through the gate every morning to lead this team to greater success in producing cannon, howitzer and mortar systems for our allies and the Department of Defense. I care deeply for the workforce and the customers we serve. Our nation depends on us; we will answer the call.

Proud to Serve!

Colonel Milton G. Kelly
